Birmingham City looking at Colombian defender

Young Colombian right back Cuadrado is being watched by Birmingham CityBirmingham City are apparently looking at backup for the right back area by keeping a close eye on Colombia international Juan Guillermo Cuadrado who currently plays for Serie A side Udinese.

Whilst Birmingham currently have Stuart Parnaby and Martin Jiránek who can play in the right back position, it is rumoured that Birmingham manager Alex McLeish would like someone younger as cover in that position, especially as Jiránek will be 32 next month.

At 22 Cuadrado certainly fits in where age is concerned and he is noted for being very attack minded, even winning a Man of the Match award for his first game for Colombia in a 2-0 victory against Venezuela in which he also added his name to the score sheet.

The youngster has played in Italy since 2009 and would be available for around half a million pounds.
