Blackburn Rovers preparing permanent deal for Manchester City striker

Roque Santa Cruz will remain a Blackburn player after the summer should they avoid relegationBlackburn Rovers will look to offer current loan signing and Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz a permanent deal this summer reports from North England have claimed.

The City forward had a torrid time at Eastlands picking up just twenty appearances and scoring thrice before being loaned out to Blackburn in the January transfer window this year.

Whilst things have not gone to plan for the Paraguayan on his return to the club he had previously scored 23 goals for in 57 appearances, Rovers feel that the summer will be the time to make a deal permanent and will acquire Santa Cruz for much less than they initially received from City in 2009.

Although Blackburn’s fate is not necessarily sealed where Premiership or Championship football is concerned, it is believed that a permanent deal will be offered should the Lancashire club remain safe this season.
