Blackburn Rovers are the latest team to be interested in Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam according to sources in Lancashire.
Blackburn have suffered slight embarrassment recently having apparent bids for Kaka and David Beckham turned down and it is now thought that they will be looking to secure the services of “realistic targets”, one of them being the much sought after Charlie Adam who has been under the watchful eye of Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
Adam has been the pace setter for Blackpool this season making the best use of his passing skills and set piece play to give the Seasiders a fantastic chance of Premiership survival, however with skills of such under the watchful eye of Premiership managers on a weekly basis it is always going to be tough for Holloway to keep hold of him in the near future.
For Adam it represents a choice of three clubs although it is likely that he will join Tottenham should Redknapp consider another bid for the midfielder. With Liverpool and Blackburn not in a position to offer Champions League football at this stage, Tottenham would be his best bet at testing himself against the best in World football.
However, with some big fixtures to come, Spurs, Manchester City and Chelsea are fighting for three places and one club out of those three will not be playing Champions League football next season. Should adam be happy to settle for a Europa League campaign then the choice will be extended to Liverpool but Blackburn will not really have anything to offer football-wise except perhaps money.
