Blackburn Rovers are now beginning to make noises in the summer transfer window and have earmarked Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back George Elokobi as player they wish to bring on board in a move worth £4m.
Elokobi has been at Wolves since joining from Colchester United in 2008 and although Wolves manager Mick McCarthy would prefer to keep hold of the 25 year old Cameroonian, a bid of £4m may be too much for the 52 year old manager to turn down.
Rovers owners Venkys have already claimed that manager Steve Kean will buy clever this summer rather than splash out on glamour signings and should a bid be accepted by Wolves, the defender would be one of Kean’s first major signings of the summer.
