Blackburn Rovers to seal Peter Crouch switch
Footybunker.com have been led to believe that Tottenham Hotspur striker Peter Crouch is on the verge of joining Blackburn Rovers in a move worth £8m although we understand the deal does not involve Christopher Samba.
Speculation has been heavy regarding a move for Samba by the North London club however the £15m price tag seems to have frightened Harry Redknapp’s Tottenham off. If Crouch is part of a switch then one can expect some cash to be offered for the in demand centre-back too.
Spurs are still looking to offload some of their players and are happy to use some of them in part exchange if it means getting the players they want. Blackburn meanwhile under Steve Kean have not been very busy in the summer transfer window so far and will look to snap up Crouch as their first signing.
