The Blues ‘agree Schurrle sale to fund Cuadrado deal’

According to the reports, Chelsea are ready to cash in on outcast Andre Schurrle in order to fund a deal for Juan Cuadrado ahead of this weekend’s visit of Manchester City.

Chelsea will host title rivals City on Saturday and are hoping to wrap up a deal for Fiorentina’s Cuadrado in time for him to be included in the matchday squad.

The reports in the English media, Cuadrado also a target for Manchester United – will complete a medical today before signing forms tomorrow.

AndreSchurrle_3092828Other than before Jose Mourinho can get his man, Chelsea must first balance the books by offloading Schurrle, who has been linked with both Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund this month.

The German World Cup winner has struggled to hold down a regular place this term and although Mourinho said it would take a ‘phenomenal offer’ for the Blues to part with the 24-year-old, it looks as though he could be on his way.

As Chelsea now look set to fork out the full £26.8m release clause to snap up Cuadrado, with Fiorentina unwilling to negotiate. Along with him, the Egyptian star Mohammed Salah is also ready for exit from Stamford Bridge and ready for loan move to Roma till end of the season.
