The Premier League leaders Chelsea have announced IndusInd Bank as its new official payment card partner in India.
The new deal will enables the London club, which qualified for March’s Capital One Cup Final earlier this week, to offer Indian fans discounts on Chelsea products. A co-branded credit card will also be produced.
Chelsea’s managing director in the Asia-Pacific regions, Adrian New said: “We are very pleased to team up with IndusInd Bank to provide our supporters in India with an innovative and exciting way of connecting with the club. We were delighted to see recently how popular Chelsea FC is in India and we hope we can continue this growth in the months and years to come.”
Meanwhile, Sumant Kathpalia, head of consumer banking at IndusInd Bank said “It is our continuous endeavor to connect with our audience through innovative approaches. Considering the growing fanbase of football ”.
The Stamford side in particular added that they are delighted to partner with them for the launch of IndusInd Bank Chelsea FC Credit Card. Now India joins Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Thailand and Vietnam as a territory where Chelsea offers a branded credit card.
Also Chelsea’s collaboration with Indian company will help the South Asian country which just started a new league last year.
