The Blues not keen on Roma deal for winger Mohamed Salah

The Italian club chances of securing Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah have been dealt a blow as it is believed Chelsea are hoping to get a better deal for the winger than the latest offer from the Italian club.

79506The Roma have earmarked the Egyptian as a possible signing during the January transfer window but it appears as though they will have to submit an improved bid in order to secure his services.

According to reports the Roma side have submitted a proposal which would consist of a loan for 18 months with the possibility of a €14 million permanent transfer. But Chelsea are looking for more and will reportedly offer the player to other clubs with Besiktas the most likely competitors in Roma’s pursuit.

However, the player himself is believed to be in favour of a move to Serie A rather than Turkey. Salah has scored one goal in six appearances in all competitions for the Blues this season.

The former FC Basel star has had few chances to impress so far this season, it is clear that Mourinho feels he is not getting enough from the Egyptian international.

Despite a great record against Chelsea he has yet to show the form to get his way into the Chelsea team making just a smattering of performances.
