Bolton agree deal for Championship forward

Reports are suggesting that Bolton Wanderers have staged a deadline day deal to sign Watford attacker Marvin Sordell after agreeing a fee with the club.

The sum is said to be in the region of £3m and means that the Trotters may have another offensive asset ready for this weekend’s clash against Norwich City.

Sordell has been constantly linked with a move away from Vicarage Road with West Brom, Fulham and Wolves also being mentioned as candidates for his signature.

The 20 year-old has made 25 Championship starts for the Hornets this season, scoring eight goals and making six assists in the process.

Sordell is also an Under-21 England international and will hook up alongside Ivan Klasnic and David N’Gog as part of an attack at the Reebok Stadium.

One veteran Sordell may not be playing alongside however, is Kevin Davies who continues to be associated with a seven figure switch to Premier League rivals Sunderland.

Sordell boasts an impressive goalscoring ratio for someone his age in England second-tier and will hope to bring that approach to the top flight.
