Bolton agree fee for Premier League striker

It is understood that Bolton have had a bid accepted for Liverpool forward David Ngog.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from Anfield all summer following the arrivals of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll in January, and a deal now looks set to be complete before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.

Ngog was a signing from former Kop boss Rafa Benitez in 2008 when he moved to the club from Paris St Germain.

The 22-year-old enjoyed his best season at Liverpool last season making 38 appearances as Fernando Torres missed a lot of the first half season and then moved to Chelsea in January. Despite this, he has found himself surplus to requirements since the arrival of Kenny Dalglish

Trotter’s manager Owen Coyle believes that he will be able to replace Gary Cahill following his imminent departure from the Reebok Stadium to North London club Tottenham Hotspur.

Coyle is ready to make a last minute bid for Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha should England international Cahill make his exit.
