Bolton will be looking to put a difficult week behind them this weekend when they host Blackburn Rovers in a fascinating battle towards the bottom of the Premier League.
Following the collapse of Fabrice Muamba during the recent FA Cup game at Tottenham, football has been the least of Bolton’s worries. The midfielder is making a positive recovery in hospital now though and everyone is praying that this continues in the next few days.
Referring to football matters, Bolton currently find themselves in the relegation zone after QPR’s victory over Liverpool during the week.
They are now two points adrift from safety, but they do have a game in hand over the teams around them.

Owen Coyle’s men did end a run of four straight Premier League defeats last time out too as they secured a valuable 2-1 victory over QPR at the Reebok Stadium.
They will now hope that this is the start of a more positive run as they have Blackburn this weekend and then Wolves after this, two teams that are in and around them in the Premier League table.
As for Blackburn, they are actually five points clear of the relegation zone after two victories in succession. This means they are in an excellent position to survive, something not many people gave them the chance of doing this season.

When Rovers lost at home to Bolton earlier this season, they were rock bottom of the table and the atmosphere towards Steve Kean and the board was horrific. Many thought it was only a matter of time before the manager was given his marching orders.
However, showing that loyalty in football can work, Kean has helped Blackburn climb out of the relegation zone and, even though there is a long way to go, they will be very happy with life right now.
Overall, this is a massive fixture for both teams. If Bolton win, they can drag Blackburn back into trouble, while a Rovers win will see them move potentially eight points clear of the bottom three.
This one gets underway at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
