Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle was evidently disappointed as he highlighted poor defensive awareness as the reason for Bolton’s 2-1 loss to Norwich yesterday.
The Trotters boss was left rueing a lack of concentration after Bolton conceded two avoidable goals to let the Canaries take all three points.
“There is no doubt about it, as a group we can defend better and we’ve lost poor goals or they were certainly all avoidable,” reflected Coyle.
He continued:
“Nobody has beat three or four men and powered one in from 25-yards which can happened in the Premier League because of the quality.”
“But that’s not happened, it’s been self-inflicted without taking any of the credit away from Norwich, who came and worked their socks off.
Coyle added:
“But we have to look at ourselves and know that we have let ourselves down today.”
