Bolton manager, Owen Coyle, is adamant to hold on to defensive talisman, Gary Cahill, despite a year of top four interest in the centre-back.
Cahill has been linked with a move to Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool but amove has failed to materialise.
However, with the defender in the last year of his contract at the Reebok Stadium, speculation is mounting regarding a January swoop for the England international.
The Trotters value Cahill at £17m and Coyle is keen to agree a new contract with the stopper in order to prevent a move occurring in the new year.
If Cahill fails to sign an extension with Bolton, he could be available for a sum closer to £10m in January, a sum that a number of clubs may find very enticing.
