With the ongoing Johan Elmander situation still to be decided Bolton are looking to the services of Bari striker Paulo Vitor Barreto.
Barreto, who turns 26 this summer has been injured for most of the last 12 months but when fit can be highly destructive in front of goal netting over 40 goals in under 80 appearances for the Italian club.
Regardless of the league there are not many players that can boast a 1:2 scoring ratio and the Brazilian, should his fitness and injuries begin to get back to the norm, will be a target for numerous clubs across Europe.
With Bolton’s move for Leeds striker Becchio apparently now unlikely, the Reebok club could be looking at another goal getter to be playing aside Kevin Davies.
