Bolton Wanderers’ Owen Coyle disappointed by ‘harsh’ result

Bolton boss Owen Coyle admitted he was disappointed with the mistakes made by his side during their 5-0 loss to Manchester United, but said he couldn’t help feel that the result was harsh.

“We paid the price for probably every mistake we made in the game but the Premier League is ruthless.”

Coyle added that he was left rueing his side’s missed opportunities after Wayne Rooney’s second hat-trick in as many games and a Javier Hernandez double put Bolton to bed: “We had double the shots, treble the crosses and David De Gea made some great saves.”

It was a tough lesson in taking chances with United capitalising on theirs and Bolton failing to make key chances count: “Without the goals, Jussi Jaaskelainen had two saves in the game,” said Coyle after the game.
