Ligue 1 continues Sunday from France, with Bordeaux v Lille, Bastia v Lyon, Toulouse v Montpellier live streaming from Bet365.
Lille are seen as 17/10 favourites to carry on their winning form at Bordeaux in Ligue 1 whilst Heerenveen look to get back into the title race with win against fellow challengers Feyenoord.
Although PSG might be stealing all the headlines in Ligue 1, Lille will continue to erode at their lead as they look for a win at Bordeaux.
Lille currently sit second in Ligue 1 and are unbeaten in their last 11 games with a win moving them to within one point of the current league leaders.
Girard’s side have swept aside numerous opponents as of late but it’s their defensive record that has stunned everyone as Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama hasn’t conceded anything in Ligue 1 for over 1000 minutes.
Enyeama will once again be a pivotal part of the Les Dogues backline which is also expected to remain unchanged allowing the likes of Simon Kjaer and Marko Basa to provide adequate cover for the title challengers.
Their opponents haven’t enjoyed as much success as their northern counterparts with Bordeaux sitting in 8th although a win could see them move up to fifth in the table.
The reigning Coupe de France champions will no doubt be looking to get a bit more consistency from their attacking line-up with the likes of Henri Saivet and Diego Rolan showing potential but failing to reach the regular prowess that their other European rivals seem to enjoy.
Boss Francis Gillot could also look to make some changes too ahead of their Europa league clash against Maccabi Tel Aviv just over a week away meaning that the likes of Landry N’Guemo and Vujadin Savic could make appearances at some point in the tie.
Meanwhile, Eredivisie will see the title picture shaken up once again as Heerenveen look to move back into the title picture with a win against Feyenoord.
Heerenveen are currently down in eighth but a win could move them back up to fourth and move them two points clear of Feyenoord.
Coach Marco Van Basten will be glad to have Alfred Finnbogason back with the Icelandic striker currently topping the Eredivisie scoring charts with 14 goals this campaign.
Feyenoord will be hoping to repeat the same form that saw off PSV last weekend with Graziano Pelle looking to close down Finnbogason lead in the scoring charts with the Italian just two shy of his rival’s mark.
With many of the European leagues just a couple of games away from their winter break, now is a time when sides such as Lille and Heerenveen will do whatever they can to keep themselves in the title race.
