The Australian shot-stopper has been used sparingly this season but says that he is aware and ready for the scrutiny that is coming his way
Following Brendan Rodgers’ decision to hand Brad Jones the number 1 responsibilities for Liverpool in favor of out of form Simon Mignolet, the Australian has admitted that he will inevitably face a lot of scrutiny from all sides.
The former Middlesborough custodian played in the 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester United a week back and though his performance wasn’t really that bad, many believe that Jones is not the answer to the keeping woes Reds have been facing since the beginning of the season.
And Jones, who has been at Anfield since 2010, says that despite featuring in only eight Premier League games to date, he is not going to sulk at criticism that will come his way.
While talking to reporters, the 32 year old said that every player is under pressure at the club and it is expected of the team to win every week.
“I have had it before and I’ll get it again,” Jones said. “There is pressure on every player in every position. You are expected to win every week and when you don’t you get criticised.
