It has been reported that Brighton have handed a trial to Hungary international Zoltan Liptak, as Gus Poyet looks to strengthen his squad to push their promotion bid further.
Poyet will make the decision whether or not to sign the centre-back for the Seagulls in the coming days as Liptak will fight to win a deal with the Championship outfit.
Liptak was recently released from Videoton, but has also enjoyed loan spells in England with Stevenage and Southampton, whilst also being attached to Southend United in the 2007-2008 season.
The 26-year-old headed to the South Coast following a unsuccessful spell at Swansea, where he similarly was battling for deal whilst being on trial. The Hungarian had been hoping to impress the Welsh club’s boss Brendan Rodgers however was unable to win a deal at the Liberty Stadium.
Following their bright start to the Championship, Brighton have failed to win in their last six league games, which Liptak will hope give him more of a chance of winning a contract.
