There is one encounter on Friday evening and it sees Hamburger host Hoffenheim. The home side sit comfortably in mid-table, whereas Hoffenheim currently occupy the relegation play-off spot – so they certainly need the points here.

Saturday afternoon is where the majority of encounters take place and league-leaders Bayern Munich will be expecting nothing less than all three points when they travel to an Augsburg side sitting in 17th and with just one win to their name this campaign.

Borussia Dortmund are on home soil this weekend as they entertain another struggling outfit, Wolfsburg. The champions have dropped a number of points at home this campaign, but Jurgen Klopp will be demanding all three from his men here.

Nurnberg and Fortuna Dusseldorf also meet and they are both looking to move further up the table and away from the relegation zone on Saturday afternoon.

Bottom of the table Greuther Furth know they really need a good run of results to move out of trouble and they head to Freiburg this time out.

Stuttgart have now won two games on the bounce and they host Schalke knowing they can move to within just a point of their opponents with a win. Schalke have not won in four, but still occupy a Champions League spot.

Saturday evening sees Eintracht Frankfurt and Werder Bremen lock horns and after two straight defeats, the former are desperate for points in this one.

On Sunday, Borussia Monchengladbach host a Mainz side that have moved up to fifth. Although they away team will know this is sure to be a tough 90 minutes, they will still come here full of confidence.

The final game of the weekend sees Bayer Leverkusen on their travels as they take on Hannover. Leverkusen have surprised a few this season and sit in second. They know that another win is needed here to try and move closer to Bayern Munich.

Another fantastic few days of action are all but guaranteed.
