All of the teams near the top of the table play on Saturday and league-leaders Bayern Munich head to Nurnberg in a match where the visitors will be big favourites.

Bayern have bounced back from their first defeat of the campaign with two straight victories and will expecting to take all three points against their opponents who sit just above the drop zone.

Jupp Heynckes could bring back star striker Mario Gomez, who looks to be close to a return following ankle surgery,  as the Bavarians can also call on Mario Mandzukic & Claudio Pizarro in what looks to be a formidable attacking unit as they make the trip to Stadion Nurnberg.

Jerome Boeteng is likely to miss out with a hamstring problem, but Toni Kroos and Bastian Schweinsteiger should be fresh in midfield after pulling out of Germany’s international friendly midweek.

The teams in third and fourth right now, Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund are both at home to teams in the drop zone on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp’s Dortmund side will be looking to continue their fine run of form, as Robert Lewandowski should lead the line once more, although captain Sebastian Kehl will once again miss out through injury.

Frankfurt lock horns with bottom of the table Augsburg, whilst Dortmund go head to head with Greuther Furth. With so much at stake at both ends of the Bundesliga, these two games should be very interesting to watch.

Borussia Monchengladbach host Stuttgart in an encounter where both teams are really looking to kick-start their seasons after a disappointing start.

The other two matches on Saturday afternoon see Hannover, who are in good form at the moment, host Freiburg, whilst Hamburger and Mainz go up against each other.

In the evening kick-off, Schalke are on their travels as they take on Bayer Leverkusen in what should be a cracking 90 minutes between second and fifth. This does look to be the pick of the ties this weekend.

There are just two matches on Sunday, with the first being struggling Fortuna Dusseldorf heading to mid-table Werder Bremen. The away team have not won in six matches and could find themselves in the drop zone by the time the weekend’s action is up.

The final battle is between Hoffenheim and Wolfsburg – with the latter being the form side after winning two matches from three.

It should be yet another superb couple of days in this German top flight that is earning plenty of admirers right now.
