Bayern head to Hannover on Saturday and even if they do lose this one, many will believe they are still going to smash Dortmund’s record.

Jupp Heynckes might rest a number of his key men in this one though as his side take on Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final on Tuesday evening, but the manager will still expect a victory.

The Champions can be backed at 11/17 to come out on top here, but with Hannover just four points away from a Europa League spot, it won’t be an easy encounter for the visiting team.

It should be a cracking game and if Bayern are at their best, we know they are too good for any team in the Bundesliga to handle, so they are sure to come out on top.

Borussia Dortmund are also in Champions League action next week as they lock horns with Real Madrid, so Jurgen Klopp is likely to leave a few of his key players wrapped in cotton wool and only use them if needed.

Dortmund host Mainz on Saturday, who haven’t won in their last four matches, so the team in second place will be confident they have enough to take the spoils.

Klopp’s side have won their last four Bundesliga encounters and are eight points clear of Bayer Leverkusen in third, so another victory here would all but guarantee runner-up spot for the 2011/12 Champions.

Leverkusen are at home to Hoffenheim on Saturday and can take another big step towards Champions League qualification with all three points here.

The hosts are five clear of Schalke in fourth and as they have drawn their last two, they will be after all three points this weekend.

Hoffenheim have a lot to play for though as they are in 17th and win could take them into the relegation play-off spot if Augsburg lose at Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday night.

An away win has long odds of 31/5.

Schalke head to Eintracht Frankfurt in a battle between fourth and sixth in the league, so there is plenty at stake in this one.

There are four points between these two, so a win for the home side moves them right into top four contention, but if Schalke take the points, they will be confident of Champions League football.

With the big-game knowhow the visitors have, they look to be decent value for this one at 11/8.

Fortuna Dusseldorf looked to be safe a couple of months ago, but no win in seven matches have left them looking over their shoulders.

Dusseldorf head to Hamburger this time out just three points clear of the bottom three, so a result is needed, but it is going to be tough as their opponents are in eighth place and have hopes of European football.

The evening kick-off sees Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg lock horns.

We are all set for a big day of action in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
