Burnley close to signing Preston winger

Reports suggest that Republic of Ireland international, Keith Treacy, is close to agreeing a move to Burnley.

Preston North End are thought to have rejected three bids from the Championship side but have finally agreed a fee for the midfielder.

The former Blackburn youngster is ready to undergo a medical at Burnley, before signing a three-year contract.

Clarets boss, Eddie Howe, will be keen to bring in Treacy after winger Chris Eagles moved to Bolton last week, along with Tyrone Mears.
