It will be the first time that Paul Lambert has returned to the ground where he really made his name as a manager and it is safe to say his decision to head to Villa did not go down well in Norfolk.

Carrow Road is likely to be a cauldron of noise for this one and the Canaries will feel confident they can come out on top after going ten games unbeaten across all competitions.

Villa will be competitive though and Lambert is sure to be hungrier than ever to claim a victory.

Also  on Tuesday, the surprise package of the Capital One Cup, Bradford City are at home to Arsenal.

Of course the Premier League side will be the big favourites to come out on top, but the Yorkshire club have caused a number of upsets so far – so don’t write them off doing it again. The Bantams currently lie in a playoff place in League Two and have only lost once in their last six, so this really is a potential banana skin for Arsene Wenger and his side.

On Wednesday, Middlesbrough travel to Swansea City and this has the makings of being a cracker.

Both sides love to play fast-flowing, attacking football – which means there could be plenty of goals at the Liberty Stadium.

The Swans are of course the stronger side and have home advantage, but Tony Mowbray has taken his men to Sunderland and claimed a victory in the tournament so far.

However, if the likes of Michu and Nathan Dyer are involved in the action, it might be tough to look past the Welsh side making the semi-finals of this Capital One Cup.

Much will depend on team selection for this one, but with Wembley now within touching distance and the Swans due to play next on Sunday, Michael Laudrup could easily field his strongest side, which makes the 4/6 on the home win more than a good bet.

One thing is for sure, it will be a thrilling couple of days in this dramatic cup competition.
