Cardiff City have announced that they expect to sign Kenny Miller from Turkish side Bursaspor after the striker passed a medical and agreed personal terms.
Miller went into talks with the Welsh side after the two team’s agreed a fee of around £800,000.
Rangers were keen to re-sign the forward, however the Scottish Champions were unwilling to pay more than the £400,000 they received for his sale in January.
The Scot was only six months into a two-and-a-half-year contract, but was unsettled in Turkey and sought a move away in July.
According to City’s new manager, Malky Mackay, the deal is almsot done: “He’s passed his medical and we’re just waiting on documentation for the transfer to go through,”
Mackay was impressed by his fellow Scot’s record, adding: “He’s experienced at this level and has played international and European football. He’s a real threat in front of goal.”
Miller will become Mackay’s sixth signing of the summer, since the 39 year-old became Cardiff City manager in June.
