Cardiff City FC manager unsure on future

Cardiff City FC manager Dave Jones is currently unsure on his future at the clubCardiff City manager Dave Jones has claimed he is uncertain as to whether he will be in charge of the club for next season after seeing his side fall short in the Championship qualifiers, losing 3-0 on aggregate to Reading FC on Tuesday evening.

Whilst Jones has not made a personal decision on his future he admits the board will have the ultimate decision.

“I’ll take stock of my life, my position and whether I want to (carry on). And it’s whether the owners and the hierarchy of the football club want you to. If they think there’s someone better to take it forward then fine, I haven’t got a problem with that. I’ll always back my own ability, my CV proves that.”

The Cardiff City manager continued.

“It might not be a decision by the owners, it might be a decision I make. It will be done in the cold light, it will be calculated and it will be a decision I make as well as the owners make. They might say ‘yes’ and I might say ‘no’ and vice versa, but one thing about me is the fire is still burning and always will because I love what I do.”

Whilst Jones currently remains in charge of Cardiff for the time being, the 54 year old former Southampton and Wolves manager has been linked with a move to newly demoted side West Ham United.
