Edinson Cavani’s agent has welcomed interest from Chelsea as the Napoli star reconsiders his future in Italy a Footy Bunker source tells us.
Blues owner Roman Abramovich is a huge admirer of the Uruguay international and identified him as a candidate to replace Didier Drogba following his departure on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old’s representative, Claudio Anellucci, has hinted to the Champions League winners that he could become available alerting Abramovich and boss Roberto Di Matteo.
Maria Soledad was left badly shaken after being accosted by two men as she walked to her car, which was then stolen, with the incident coming shortly after the couple’s home was burgled.
Anellucci revealed they’re both distressed at what happened and believes the latest robbery could prompt the striker into leaving Stade San Paolo this summer.
“It is not a good moment, but they are trying to get over it,” he told the Mirror. “She has left Naples to join Cavani. It is difficult to get used to the idea that these sort of things can happen to you.
“It is true that incidents of this type can happen to anybody, but the truth is they happen too often.”
A potential stumbling block for Abramovich is the £70 million asking price with Napoli keen to hold onto Cavani following another prolific season that saw him bag 33 goals in 46 games.
