Celtic confirm Sweden international signing
Scottish Premier League leaders Celtic have confirmed the signing of 25 year old Sweden international Mikael Lustig who has joined the side from Rosenburg.
The versatile defender can play either in the centre of defence or at right-back and has picked up 23 international caps for Sweden since 2008 scoring one goal in the process.
A statement on the official Celtic website read:
“Mikael Lustig has passed his medical and confirmed his new deal, the Swedish international, who signed a pre-contract earlier in the season, has been in Glasgow over the past few days to take in the derby victory and finalise his new contract – which will officially start on January 1, 2012.”
“Mikael will be officially unveiled as a Celt at a media conference at Lennoxtown today.”
