It’s likely that Moyes will make several changes to the United side that lost 0-1 to Newcastle on Saturday with Wayne Rooney coming back into the squad after missing the last game through suspension.

Danny Welbeck could also come in to the squad in place of Robin Van Persie whilst Ryan Giggs and Antonio Valencia are also set to start on Tuesday evening.

Qualification is still very much a possibility for Shakhtar who know that a win at Old Trafford would be enough to put them through at the expense of Bayer Leverkusen.

Having won their last four games and benefitting from a fresh side, Mircea Lucescu is likely to name an unchanged squad as to the one that beat Real Sociedad 4-0 in the last group game.

It means that the Ukrainian champions will turn to their Brazilian contingent of players to help them advance with the likes of Bernard, Adriano and Douglas Costa all leading the charge and causing a threat all night long.

In the other group game, Bayer Leverkusen know that they need to better Shakhtar’s result if they are to have any chance of qualifying for the last 16.

Leverkusen travel to Spain to face Real Sociedad and the Bundesliga side will be go into the fixture on the back of an impressive 1-0 win against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday night.

Leverkusen will be without Sidney Sam who is battling a knee injury however Stefan Kiessling has been passed fit for the trip to Anoeta.

Real Sociedad’s first foray into the Champions League will end on Tuesday night with the La Liga side still searching for their first win of the group stages.

The San Sebastian team will be forced to make one change as Esteban Granero is sidelined from the clash with a knee injury.

Having done all the hard work, Manchester United will look to the game against Shakhtar as a chance to get some confidence back in the team whilst Donetsk and Bayer Leverkusen battle hard to claim the final qualification spot for the last 16.
