The early kick-off should set the tone for the rest of the day as Queens Park Rangers make the trip Elland Road to take on Leeds United.
Both sides are looking to reach the Premier League this season and they each sit in the top six right now.
QPR have managed ten points from their four matches, whereas Leeds sit on eight and neither team has tasted defeat in the league thus far. For that reason, many are sure to be backing the draw here at 12/5.
Brian McDermott and Harry Redknapp will try and get their men to play some decent football in this one and with the way these two are playing, it should be a superb 90 minutes of action.
The remaining eleven games take place at 3pm and one of the pick of the fixtures could be Wigan Athletic taking on Nottingham Forest at the DW Stadium.
Forest are top of the league on goal-different right now, whereas Wigan sit in mid-table after a couple of disappointing results. There is no doubt that the Latics have quality, but at 12/5, Forest look the value here as they are clearly in good form.
Another side on ten points – Blackpool – entertain Watford – who are in fifth position right now and this should be another thriller.
Many expected Watford to be there or thereabouts come the end of the season, but Blackpool’s performances have surprised a few and as this one is at Bloomfield Road they will fancy their chances of taking the spoils.
Leicester are the other side on ten points right now and they should have the quality to go to Charlton Athletic and win on Saturday afternoon.
The London club are in the bottom three after accumulating just one point in three matches and they might find this one tough. At 11/8, bets of the Foxes will be extremely popular.
Huddersfield Town stuck five past Bournemouth last weekend and they head to Barnsley on Saturday in a Yorkshire derby.
The Terriers have James Vaughan in fine form right now and given the fact Barnsley sit bottom of the table, an away win looks to be the best should here.
Elsewhere, Derby County and Burnley meet in a battle between two teams just outside the top six at the moment, Yeovil will be looking to return to winning way when they entertain Reading and Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Millwall to the AMEX Stadium.
Birmingham City and Ipswich Town have had identical starts to the season as they both lost their first game, won their second and then lost their next two. It is tough what to expect from these two sides and when they meet at St Andrews this weekend, the draw is value at 27/11.
Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday also go head to head, while Doncaster and Bournemouth lock horns.
Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers meet in a Lancashire derby that should be one of the games of the day. At 2/1, a punt on the away side Bolton might be worth a shout.
Bring on a superb day of Championship football.
