Leeds have now drawn their last three and are in need of a win here to keep their top six hopes alive, whereas Huddersfield are five points clear of the bottom three, so are far from safe just yet.
The atmosphere inside Elland Road will be electric for this one and it should set the tone for a big day in the second tier of English football.
At the same time, Charlton Athletic entertain Millwall in a battle between two London rivals.
Millwall secured a place in the FA Cup semi-final with a win over Blackburn Rovers during the week, but in the league, they have lost seven of their last eight matches.
With how tight the Championship is, the Lions can move into top six contention if they win their games in hand, but could be in a relegation battle if they lose them.
Charlton look as though they will finish just outside the play-offs, but Chris Powell won’t be giving up just yet and they are at 11/8 to win here.
Moving onto the 3PM games, league-leaders Cardiff City need to win at Sheffield Wednesday as they haven’t claimed maximum points in three matches and you can be sure fans are looking nervously over their shoulders.
It isn’t going to be easy though as Wednesday need a result to move further away from the drop zone.
Nottingham Forest have now won their last five matches and are looking good for a play-off spot, but know they are in for a tough afternoon at Hull City on Saturday.
With Hull in second and Forest on a superb run in sixth, this should be a cracking encounter.
The other form team that have won their last five is Bolton Wanderers and they head to Ipswich Town this weekend.
The home team just can’t get themselves away from the bottom three and Bolton are within a point of the play-offs, so an away win looks good value at 15/8.
Barnsley and Watford lock horns in a battle between two sides with very different ambitions for the campaign. Both have been in good form though and if recent results are anything to go by, there should be goals in this one.
Middlesbrough will be looking to get their season back on track with a win at home to Birmingham City, while Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bristol City meet in a six-pointer at the bottom of the table. Blackpool v Peterborough United is the final 3PM game taking place.
There is then a big derby match between Derby County and Leicester City on Saturday evening.
The Rams are struggling to win matches at the moment and haven’t won in eight, whereas the Foxes are on a four-game winless run and are in need of maximum points to stay in the top six. Leicester can be backed at 11/8.,
There are then two more games taking place on Sunday afternoon and yet again, they are battles between rival clubs.
Brighton & Hove Albion take on Crystal Palace at the AMEX Stadium and Burnley make the journey to Blackburn Rovers.
Palace are of course looking to finish in the top two this season and Brighton are just a point outside the play-offs, so this is a huge match.
Both Burnley and Blackburn are in poor form in the other encounter and look to be set for a mid-table finish.
It is likely to be another frantic weekend in the Championship.
