The early kick-off on Saturday looks set to be a superb encounter as Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday lock horns in a Yorkshire derby.
Leeds have managed four points from their opening two matches, so come into this one in good spirits, whereas Wednesday have lost both of their games and know they need to start picking up points soon.
In these derby games, the form can go out of the window, but Brian McDermott’s side look like they will be strong on home soil this season and at 11/10, Leeds do look to be the best value in this one.
Moving into the 3pm kick-offs, league-leaders Watford make the journey to Reading in what could be the pick of Saturday’s action.
The Hornets have won their opening two encounters and thrashed Bournemouth 6-1 last time out, so come here in good form. However, beating Reading at the Madejski is going to be tough this season.
Both of these teams are looking to finish in the top two and the draw might be the best bet here at 5/2.
Blackpool are another team on six points right now and they head to Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon.
Paul Ince has got a dream start during his first full season with the Tangerines, but after winning their first game of the season last time out, Boro are going to be tough opposition here and it should be another interesting game.
Nottingham Forest have two wins from two as well and they entertain Bolton Wanderers at the City Ground this weekend.
Forest needed a good start to the campaign and that is what they have got, whereas Bolton have drawn two games and need to get their first victory soon. Some might like a punt on the away side here at 5/2.
Elsewhere, Queens Park Rangers host Ipswich Town and it isn’t a surprise to see the home team as the 18/19 favourites for this one. Ipswich did manage a 3-0 win over Millwall last time out though, so come here in good spirits.
Barnsley haven’t had the start to the Championship they would have wanted as they have lost two matches and this weekend, the Yorkshire side entertain Charlton Athletic, who have also failed to get off the mark.
Burnley and Yeovil Town lock horns, while Birmingham City and Brighton & Hove Albion go head-to-head and Millwall host Huddersfield Town.
There is a midlands derby between Derby County and Leicester City as well and the away side might just be the best bet here as they are at 2/1.
The final game to look at sees Wigan Athletic make the journey to Bournemouth.
The Latics were in action at Wembley last weekend and it is now very much back to business. Owen Coyle will be after a similar performance to the 4-0 win at Barnsley on opening day, but the hosts are going to be up for a fight here.
Bring on another cracking day of action.
