Blackburn travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea this weekend in the final round of Premier League fixtures for the season, as bookmaker Ladbrokes, hang a carrot for punters with a massive 9/1 on offer for the away win.
Chelsea were defeated 4-1 at Anfield on Tuesday evening, a result which saw their hopes of a top four finish disappear. The Blues are now certain to finish sixth.
Roberto Di Matteo’s side could still, of course, be playing Champions League football next year should they beat Bayern Munich in the final of the competition on the 19th May.

With nothing to play for in the league, Di Matteo may rest the likes of Didier Drogba, Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard yet again on Sunday, as he did against Liverpool in midweek.

Tuesday night saw Chelsea lose back to back matches for only the second time this campaign in the Premier League. However, with the FA Cup final victory in the middle of these games, supporters will be a lot more lenient with the team.
Losing is not a habit that Di Matteo will want going into the final in Munich with though, so no matter what side he does put out, he will be expecting three points and nothing else, especially in front of their home fans.
As for Blackburn, their status as a Premier League club was taken away on Monday night when a 1-0 defeat at home to Wigan saw them relegated to The Championship for the first time in eleven years.
It has been an extremely disappointing season for Rovers, whose fans have expressed their frustration with the manager Steve Kean and the club’s owners in almost every game at Ewood Park.
Kean’s side are in an awful run of form at the moment, losing seven of their last eight encounters. They have also won just two games away from home this campaign.
Blackburn will be looking to restore some pride with a spirited performance at Stamford Bridge this weekend, although recent form suggests that a positive result is highly unlikely.
It all gets underway from 3pm on Sunday.
