Chelsea Captain John Terry has spoken of his disappointment regarding the result against Stoke City on Saturday which left the Stamford Bridge club eleven points behind league leaders Manchester United.
Although Chelsea still have a game in hand it remains a tough challenge to overhaul United at this stage but Terry claims on the official site that things can change.
“At a different stage of the season you could have looked at the result against Stoke and maybe say that it was a good point, but the position we were in we needed to win the game to keep on the tail of Man United and Arsenal so it is two points dropped, it was always going to be a massive challenge and we are still not giving up, no chance. But we must pick ourselves up and go again on Wednesday.”
With Manchester United travelling to Chelsea on Wednesday for the Champions League quarter final Terry believes that a victory could also dent United’s title charge, adding.
“It is a huge game against Man United back at the Bridge in front of our fans and hopefully that will be the key.”
