It seems only a matter of time until the Chelsea career of Salomon Kalou comes to an end with the club currently deliberating his sale with three parties looking into his signature.
Sources reports that Galatasaray have made a formal enquiry regarding the player, while two Premier League outfits have also asked questions about his availability.
It’s suggested that the two league rivals interested in signing the winger are Arsenal and Liverpool, both of whom are being linked with moves for numerous attackers.
Despite the club’s £18m summer signing of Stewart Downing, Liverpool are still in the market for a winger and see a cut-price deal for Kalou as the perfect January option.
The Merseysiders are experiencing some difficulty going forward as of late and have failed to score draw against ‘lesser’ opposition at home this season, running out 0-0 draws against Stoke and Swansea City at Anfield.
Arsenal are also looking to add some attacking flair as they continue to recover from the summer losses of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.
Captain Robin van Persie has been one obvious positive for the Gunners, finding the form of his life and should Kalou make his way to the Emirates Stadium, they will be hoping to secure better ammunition for their prolific Dutchman.
Kalou has made over 230 appearances for the Blues in his six-year career at Stamford Bridge but the 26 year-old has started only two Premier League games this season and doesn’t seem to feature in the long-term plans of Andre Villas Boas.
The contract of the Ivory Coast international runs out in the summer and rather than lose the winger on a free transfer, Chelsea may be tempted into selling this month for a reduced fee of just £5m.
