Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are in negotiations for Wolfsburg’s wantaway playmaker Diego although it is believed the Brazilian favours a move to Spain.
Chelsea have been unsuccessful in their search for a playmaker this summer having lost out on Javier Pastore to PSG and with Tottenham stating firmly that Modric is not for sale.
Whilst Diego is a creative player he has cause numerous headaches for his previous managers including that of Steve McClaren who managed the 26 year old when in charge at Wolfsburg. Whilst Chelsea are probably in a better position to offer Diego more in terms of wages it is believed a decision by the player will not be made until late afternoon.
