Chelsea FC have cooled interest in three assumed targets this summer with Villas-Boas leaving them be for the moment as he assesses what type of player is required at the club.
The three players, Van der Wiel, Arda Turan, and Lukaku were all apparent targets of Guus Hiddink with Abramovich working hard behind the scenes to try and land the players. However, after Hiddink decided to stay with current agreement with the Turkish national side, Villas-Boas has since placed the three on watch list, opening the doors for other teams to move in fast.
It is also believed that with Chelsea cooling their interest in Lukaku, that Arsenal have now made a bid in the hope they can tempt him to being an Arsenal player, despite Lukaku openly suggesting he would like to join the Stamford Bridge club.
Should Villas-Boas now not act fast in the transfer market the West London club could see themselves missing out on some big players for the future and they would be well advised to act smart and act fast if they truly wish to rebuild the squad for this seasons campaign.
