Chelsea FC keeper expecting faster return

Chelsea FC keeper Petr Cech has claimed he could be returning to first team matters faster than expected suggesting his recovery is going well.

Cech picked up an injury in training last week forcing him to sit and watch the Stamford Bridge side’s win over West Bromwich Albion with the Chelsea keeper still likely to miss the next four weeks.

A statement of Cech’s official website read:

“The rehabilitation is going according to plan, I don’t want to jinx anything but it seems that I should be ready to return to action inside the original timescale. I have been getting various forms of treatment and have been working on my fitness.”

The Chelsea keeper added:

“I have been in the gym and catching a few balls, even though I can only do it sitting down. The main reason for doing that work is so I don’t miss out on the practice.”
