Chelsea FC ready to increase bid to £20m for Porto star
Chelsea FC are ready to increase their bid of £16.6m to £20m for POrto wing-back Alvaro Pereira after having their initial reported bid rejected by the Portuguese side.
It seems Andre Villas Boas is still on the hunt for a replacement for the outgoing Yhirkov and despite Pereira being left sided, the 33 year old manager is keen to land the Uruguayan.
Whilst many have assumed that Chelsea would be looking for more specialised wingers this summer Villa Boas is yet to make any ground with regards to a right-back and a central midfielder with the Modric deal looking to evaporate with just five days of the transfer window remaining.
With Chelsea also looking at the likes of Ganso and Moutinho, a move could yet still be on the cards however it is believed a bid of £20m for Pereira could be enough to tempt the Europa League Champions into selling.
