The target of Chelsea FC, Javier Pastore has admitted to being pleased with the move to PSG this summer and claims he chose to join the French Ligue One side as he would get more appearances for them that he would in West London.
Both Chelsea and PSG had made bids of €45m for the playmaker with Chelsea viewing the 22 year old as a long term replacement for the ageing Frank Lampard and a move was predictably close however Pastore felt that breaking into the first team would have been far too difficult for him.
Talking to Eurosport the Argentine said.
“What I am experiencing is very nice, this will be an important moment in my career, the most important so far. I am not joining a league as big as England or Spain, but Le Championnat de France will bring me a lot on a personal level and for my sporting improvement.”
Pastore added.
“At Chelsea or in another club, I would have not played as often as I could hope. I believe at Paris I will play and will be able to show my value.”
