Chelsea striker, Didier Drogba, will return from his knock in time to line up against title rivals, Manchester United, next month.
The Ivorian international was knocked unconscious against Norwich City on Saturday, after going up for a challenge against the Canaries keeper, John Ruddy.
After being rushed to hospital, Drogba was released from hospital on Sunday evening and was diagnosed with ‘a mild concussion’.
This type of injury has been seen before, and typically takes around two weeks to recover from.
Chelsea manager, Andre Vilas-Boas, was impressed with the swift treatment his forward received, stating: “I have to be very, very grateful, not only to my players but to the Norwich players and to my medical staff for reacting so quickly to a potentially dangerous situation.”
The Blues will travel to Old Trafford on 18th Spetember, in a match that will have a massive bearing on both team’s title hopes.
