Chelsea in the hunt for Italian stopper

It’s understood that new Chelsea manager, Andre Villas-Boas, is looking to sign Juventus goalkeeper, Marco Storari, as backup to the injured Petr Cech.

The keeper has made 23 appearances for the Serie A giants after a £4m move from AC Milan last June.

Cech is currently out of commission for a month after suffering a knee injury.

Despite being 34 years-old, it’s thought that Villas-Boas would prefer Storari as backup instead of current reserve keeper, Hilario, and would use the Italian in a rotation system, allowing Cech a rest every now and then.
