Chelsea now more confident on signing Neymar

Sources close to Chelsea FC have confirmed the club are feeling much more confident about signing Brazilian starlet Neymar than they were over the weekend.

Chelsea are one of five clubs to have matched Santos’ release fee of €45m for the 19 year old and are up against Real Madrid who pose the biggest threat. However it is now understood that Neymar is something of a “Glory target” for Real Madrid by the president rather than a player Jose Mourinho would like to have onboard, especially for that sort of money.

The offer by the Spanish giants has left many confused as to how Neymar will fit into the side especially seeing that he will have to compete against Ozil, Ronaldo and Kaka, plus Real’s new signings Altintop and Sahin. The situation in the Spanish capital is thought to not excite Neymar as much as the London option, where the the attacker will not only be surrounded by Brazilian team mates Alex, Ramires and Luiz, but at a club where he will be given the chance of much more first team football than with the Galacticos.

Chelsea now believe they have stolen a march in the race for Neymar and are quietly confident of a decent outcome.
