Chelsea not giving up on AC Milan star

Alexandre Pato has been and remains a long term target of Chelsea FCReports from Italy are suggesting that current Premiership Champions Chelsea are not giving up hope on AC Milan star Alexandre Pato.

Despite having just spent £50m on Fernando Torres it seems the Blues are intent on keeping their striking options open and will try to bid for the Brazilian 21 year old again in the summer. Although Torres managed to get off the mark against West Ham at the weekend, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich may still decide on selling and Pato has been earmarked as one for the future at Stamford Bridge.

Since 2007 Pato has made almost 100 appearances for the San Siro club scoring an incredible 50 goals in the process however Milan have always stood firm on their striker insisting he is not for sale.

Should a bid be turned down once more this summer then Chelsea may look to try and use Fernando Torres as a bargaining chip in a move that could see the Spaniard head to Serie A.
