Chelsea patient on Guardiola with Hiddink expected to take reigns for one year

Chelsea are prepared to wait a year Guardiola and will hire Hiddink in the short termSources from West London have claimed that Chelsea are prepared to wait one year to capture primary managerial target Pep Guardiola who has confirmed he shall remain manager of Barcelona for one more season, and in the meantime will look to Guus Hiddink to take charge of the Stamford Bridge outfit for 12 months.

Hiddink is currently in charge of the Turkish international side but the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) claim they will not allow the Dutchman to job share as he did whilst in charge with Russia. It is hoped by Chelsea that something can be arranged for Hiddink to take control of both clubs for the remaining 12 months of his contract but understand the necessity to look elsewhere should the TFF stand firm.

Hiddink has also always stood firm when under contract at a club and if a job share option is rebuffed by the TFF then Frank Rijkaard and Marco van Basten will remain strong possibilities for the short term role.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has always been a fan of Barcelona’s style of play and feels that Guardiola is the main reason for their devastating passing game. With Abramovich and Chelsea prepared to wait for Guardiola to join next season their main task now will be to either seal Hiddink or find an immediate short term replacement for Carlo Ancelotti who was sacked after their final league game against Everton.
