Chelsea plan £6m raid for Polish international

Sandomierski already has two winners medals to his nameChelsea FC are considering a move for Poland international goalkeeper Grzegorz Sandomierski who currently plays for Jagiellonia Białystok and has three international caps to his name.

Chelsea feel that any long term injuries to Number One Petr Cech could cost them more points than expected and it is believed they can not count fully on Ross Turnbull to do the job. Henrique Hilário, who will be 36 later this year is set to be allowed to leave should he wish to do so.

At 21 years of age, Sandomierski certainly has youth on his side and is considered to have great potential between the posts. Chelsea were apparently considering a hi-jack of Manchester United’s De Gea deal although it was felt that the Spaniard would not settle for a place behind Cech.

Whilst Sandomierski does not have much experience under his belt he has had the luxury of being a winning finalist twice already both in the Polish Cup in 2010 and in the same year the Polish Super Cup. It is believed a bid of around £6m should be enough to tempt the Polish side into selling the up and coming goalkeeper.
