Its a Wednesday of Premiership football with Paddy Power releasing the latest odds on Chelsea v QPR, Liverpool v Sunderland, Newcastle v Everton, plus announce a new free bets offer for the new year.
There are three Premier League matches taking place on Wednesday evening and they do all look like being cracking encounters.
There is a West London derby at 7.45PM as Chelsea host Queens Park Rangers at Stamford Bridge. The two teams have very different ambitions for the campaign though as Chelsea are looking to move back into the title race, whereas QPR are trying to claw their way out of trouble.
The Blues have found some form in recent weeks and have now won their last four Premier League matches, which means Rafael Benitez is increasing his popularity with the supporters. Petr Cech will miss the game through injury, paving the way for Ross Turnbull between the posts, but with the Blues rampant in recent weeks the 3/10 looks nailed on for the home win.

Only three points will do here though and the home team should take the spoils as they host a QPR side that sit on just ten points at the moment.
Harry Redknapp’s men have lost three in a row since winning their first game of the season earlier in the month and know they need to pull off a number of shock results to stay in this league. In truth, they might need to take at least a point from the Bridge, which is going to be very tough.
Also at 7.45PM, Sunderland make the journey to Liverpool in a battle between two sides that have been very inconsistent this season. On their day, both can be a match for anyone in the top flight, but they do have the tendency to go missing for 90 minutes.
Liverpool will be the form side coming into this one as they won 3-0 at QPR on Sunday afternoon. Luis Suarez scored twice in that match and is sure to play a big part in this one, especially with Steven Gerrard providing him with top quality service as Brendan Rogers’s side look to continue their slow but steady progress.
If the Reds are at their best, then they should win this one quite comfortably as they are at Anfield, but we have seen in the past that they do sometimes struggle on home soil.
As for Sunderland, they have moved five points away from the bottom three, but know they could be in a bit of trouble if results go against them on Tuesday.
The Black Cats have the ability to cause their opponents a number of problems and Martin O’Neill is likely to have them well organised for this trip, but what will encourage them is Aston Villa’s demolition of the reds at Anfield a fortnight ago.
It would still take a dedicated fan to be backing Liverpool at 4/11 at the moment, even at home, and the 8/1 on the away win looks like more than a hint of value.
The 8PM kick-off is between Newcastle United and Everton. These two would have started the campaign with ambitions of reaching the top four, but the Magpies could be involved in a relegation battle.
Alan Pardew’s men have scored six goals in their last two matches, but haven’t taken any points as they have conceded eleven. They have to pick something up here at St James’ Park as they could be in the bottom three come kick-off, but things will not be easy for them as the uncertainty surrounding Demba Ba’s future continues to cast a shadow of the Sports Direct Arena.
Everton also need to bounce back after a disappointing defeat to Chelsea, which saw them move three points adrift of the top four. David Moyes will be expecting a response from his side and a win is sure to be on his mind, as Mouranne Fellaini’s returns to the side after suspension is sure to galvanise the side. The Everton win at 13/10 looks good value.
Both sides like to play attacking football and it should be a fitting way to conclude another round of Premier League fixtures.
