Chelsea v QPR Odds : Di Matteo set to ring changes as Mark Hughes seeks vital relegation win

Queens Park Rangers travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea in Sunday’s early kick off, as punters fancy Mark Hughes’s side to spring an upset at long odds of  7/1, with Paddy Power considering Di Matteo’s side’s exploits midweek.

Both these sides are chasing the points for very different reasons.

Chelsea are a side full of confidence at the moment after a stunning victory over two legs against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final.

Chelsea were down to ten men at the Nou Camp and showed incredible character and determination to come from two goals down and end the match 2-2, which sent them through 3-2 on aggregate.

As for the Premier League, Roberto Di Matteo’s side will still have fourth place in their sights. They currently sit in sixth position but are just four point behind fourth place Newcastle.

With Alan Pardew’s side still to play at Stamford Bridge, finishing in the Champions League spot is still a real possibility.

The Blues are now unbeaten in nine games across all competitions and with the final of the Champions League and The FA Cup still to come, it could be one of the most successful seasons in the club’s history.

As for QPR, they had a fantastic win over Tottenham last time out with the result helping them move one point above the relegation zone.

Mark Hughes will be aware that Bolton do however have a game in hand over his side though.

Hughes’ men are on a miserable run away from home, without a win in eleven games, so they know it will be a very tough task against a Chelsea side in very high spirits.

Rangers have to play Stoke at home and then Manchester City away after this weekend. Therefore, Hughes will be desperate for at least a point in this match to keep his side out of the bottom three.

QPR came out on top in this fixture earlier in the season, winning 1-0 at Loftus Road. However, Chelsea had to play the majority of the game with nine men after Jose Bosingwa and Didier Drogba were sent off.

With the added spice of this being a London derby, it iss certain to be an action packed 90 minutes. It all gets underway from 1.30pm on Sunday.
