Chelsea star excited by deadline signing
Chelsea centre-back, David Luiz, has unveiled his excitement at the Blues’ signing of Portuguese star, Raul Meireles.
The Brazilian stopper believes that Andre Villas-Boas has taken a step in the right direction by siging the midfielder in a last minute transfer from Liverpool.
The 24 year-old played against his new teammate during his time at Benfica, while Meireles was at Porto and will know exactly what the midfielder brings to the squad.
The Brazilian commented: “Every day we are getting better and I bet we will have success this season. We have made good signings and I think Raul Meireles can be a big player for us.”
He added: “We played against each other in Portugal and he was difficult to stop. It is sensational he can increase our level on the pitch.”
