Daniel Sturridge claims he is ready to become a part of the Chelsea squad after being loaned out by the club, and score goals at the top level.
The 22 year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with Bolton Wanderers, where he enjoyed good form, scoring eight goals in twelve games.
The loan was the first real chance for the former England Under-21 international to show his skills since moving to Stamford Bridge from Manchester City two years ago.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Sturridge said: “That loan spell at Bolton last season was a chance to show not only that I belong in the Premier League but I can score goals at the highest level.”
The youngster believes new manager, Andre Villas Boas, will give him his chance, adding: “I’m surrounded by world-class players who will help me grow up and learn, and we have a new manager who has encouraged me to believe I have an important part to play.”
