Chelsea FC will not allow striker Didier Drogba to leave this summer and see the striker as pivotal not only to next season but for a good few years ahead.
The news will delight Chelsea fans who felt he may move on to pastures new this summer however sources now claim that only a “stupid” offer would tempt them into selling. My “stupid” I have assumed something over the £30m for a 33 year old. There had also been reports that Chelsea were prepared to swap the Ivorian for Arda Turan of Galatasaray however those claims have now been reported to us as incorrect and that the Turan deal is something entirely separate and will not involved Drogba.
Another blessing for Chelsea’s talisman remaining at the club is that of the “soon to be unveiled” Romelu Lukaku, who, very much like Drogba, could be considered as the forwards perfect replacement and with Drogba guiding the youngster through will mean not much will really change up front, perhaps just the name over the next five seasons at least.
